-About the Class -
This is an outdoor, hands-on course about treatment-free beekeeping. We will be out in the bee-yard opening up hives and learning how to read the different signs honey bees tell us at this time of year.
This class is beneficial for everyone including new beekeepers as well as ones looking to transition over to treatment-free beekeeping. The class will include seasonal maintenance, health inspection of bees and winterization of hives in fall. The class with touch on working with bees in the rhythms of biodynamic/permaculture principles. All willing participates will be working with the hives.
This class is weather permitting, and will be rescheduled due to rain.
Please wear whatever you are comfortable in when caring for bees e.g. bee suit, hat/vail, gloves etc.
